This Was the Year . . .
This was the year that I was being nudged to stretch even more into my potential. It started with a yoga retreat in Tulum, Mexico in February where the instructor asked to speak to our soul and what it wanted us to do. It was clear the message I received was to write a book (UGH! How will I do that?) When I returned from the retreat, there was a flyer available at my yoga class that stated – WRITE YOUR BOOK IN A WEEKEND. I thought to myself, “Now that would work for me!” I signed up, wrote the book in one weekend in October 2016 and have spent the last year refining, editing and bringing it to completion. I am thankful for the support around me to be able to birth this book.
Through that process, I decided to do an entire re-branding campaign for my business and create a playbook based on my book, so readers would have the option to learn how to integrate the practices that have worked for me in creating the work and life I love. What an amazing journey of stepping into even more of my potential as a woman, a business owner and a teacher.
This was the year I drove wholeheartedly into my creativity and self-expression and shared that with a global audience. This led to engaging international clients and partners to expand my message globally while increasing my self-care and indulging in a 2-week vacation to Italy and Paris in the middle of launching my book. What did I learn?
The more fun and self-pleasure I incorporate in my life, the more I let go and create effortlessly. The belief of having to work hard to make it happen is a masculine perspective. I learned to love myself at a deeper level and acknowledge myself for the amazing creator that I am. This is what activated my feminine aspect, which is the aspect we all hold to be instead of do, to be in the flow of having fun, allowing myself to surrender into divine timing and giving up the control of my timing because that is an illusion anyway. This was a year of learning to live with less stress and move to my own rhythm.
I welcome 2018 with open arms having learned to receive with more ease, giving up control and surrendering even deeper into my gifts, and how I am to serve in the year ahead.
May you all celebrate your growth this year. We all had lots of movement, deep work and thoughtful dialogue. I celebrate you for being a part of my journey and for your commitment to grow and to bring your gifts to the world. I am excited to continue to witness your growth and support you in this effort.
Share with me the growth you’ve experienced this year.
I hope my new book Be Happy Now can provide you with new resources for elevating your growth in 2018.
Happy Holidays!
