Intention – The Conscious Focus and Energy Behind our Thoughts and Actions

At the start of each year, I set intentions. Intention is the conscious focus and energy behind our thoughts and actions, shaping outcomes and aligning us with purpose. This year, my intention is to stay open – to people, experiences, and possibilities – instead of retreating, disengaging, or shutting down when I feel triggered or judgmental. This year is about softening my heart, expanding my mind, and inviting more joy and playfulness into my life while deepening my stillness practice.
As a coach, I often focus on expanding, learning, and exploring my consciousness – opening my awareness. This year, I’ll continue on that path, but with a twist: FUN. I want to make exploration playful and enjoyable. It’s time to take my own advice and fully embody what I teach my clients: growth doesn’t have to feel like work.
While I already enjoy trying new things and leaning into playfulness, this year is about being intentional by actively seeking opportunities to make moments more fun and enjoyable. Just thinking about it excites me! I can’t wait to see how this mindset shifts my experiences, and what it attracts into my life.
To support this intention, I’ll work with my coach to embody this playful way of being, shifting both my mindset and behaviors. I’ve seen firsthand that the more you lean into play, the more ease, joy, and abundance you attract. I’m committed to making playfulness a consistent, natural part of my life.
In addition, there’s one practice I keep hearing about that feels essential for 2025: stillness. Stillness grounds our energy, helps us settle into ourselves, and allows us to truly hear our inner voice amidst the noise of daily life.

I urge you to pay attention to stillness for your well-being this year. 2025 is set to be a year of upheaval, change, new ideas, and creations. Staying grounded will help us discern what’s worth our energy. A stillness practice brings calm, clarity, and certainty in ourselves, enabling us to navigate changing times with openness instead of getting rattled.
