What Will 2020 Hold for You?
I have come to the conclusion that I am the decisive element in how I experience the moments of my life. As I sit here at the beginning of 2020 with all that is transforming in our world, I am filled with immense gratitude for the luxuries of my life, food, water, shelter, safety and my ability to use my heart and head to lead myself and my work.
In 2020, I want to experience myself in a way I haven’t in the past: stretching into areas I haven’t stretched, making new friends and colleagues, trying new activities, and sharing more of my wisdom with those that desire to sit with me. In order for me to do this, I pick a mantra for each year, and this year my mantra is SHAKE IT UP. If I am confronted with a decision about something, I ask the question, “If I take this path, will it shake it up for the better?”
As most of you know, I like to follow the science of astrology when it comes to setting up the theme of my year. This year the planet of expansion, Jupiter, is in Capricorn. Capricorn is all about structure, accountability, making things tangible and practical.
This year I will be expanding more of my gifts in the way of publishing in an eBook format the playbook to my book for actual practice of the ideas I share in my book. I will also be publishing a yoga eBook I created years ago that helps calm stress and allows one to stay centered. I will be putting together an online school – The Katie B. Smith School of Inner Wisdom, which will allow others that don’t work with me to have access to my ideas and wisdom.
With the structure of Capricorn to help support this, I have put in deadlines and schedules into working on this content. When my resistance shows up, I will remind myself why I am doing this, which is to serve the greater good and weave more awareness and healing into the world.
I will develop in myself more self-acceptance and self-compassion by judging less and loving myself and others more. I will commit to practicing the art of holding expectations of possibility instead of what something should look like. I will collaborate more and build a bigger and more intimate community of friends, colleagues and clients. The structure required for this is creating more classes and teaching as this helps me master it and learn it deeper for myself.
I leave you with 3 Key Questions to ask yourself:
- What will 2020 hold for you?
- What will your mantra be?
- What structure and support do you need to put in place to support this goal?
Let me know by responding to this newsletter how I can support you and hold you in the light of what you wish to co-create in 2020. We are in this together.
Wishing you a year of recognizing your value and gifts,
Katie
