The Conscious Pause
We are all leaders when it comes to how we lead ourselves, our families, and our communities.
We will be exploring a variety of topics around how to live an integrated life and lead ourselves consciously and in a way that is true to who you are. I believe when we live in this way, it creates more resonance and happiness, which attracts opportunities and peace into your life.
Websters definition of an integration is to form, coordinate, or blend into a functioning or unified whole.
Websters definition of leader is one that leads or conducts; a guide; a conductor.
Therefore, I believe an integrated leader is someone that is clear on how to guide themselves and honor what they need as it relates to the whole of themselves and their situation. In doing this, we can all more effectively lead others from a place of calm, peace and truth.
I will be using Substack as a platform to support you in this integration with quotes to ponder, questions to provoke your thoughts, and resources to help you dive deeper and integrate what you may be learning.
In addition, I will be launching my Be Whole Journey online course for those interested in deeper integration and tools for finding more resonance with self and soul.
You can learn more about it here.
I would like to pose a question for you to ponder as we start this journey together.
What stops you from honoring you?
I am not asking this question from a place of being selfish, but rather from a place of honoring the core of who you are so you can work with others more harmoniously. That may mean you still need to compromise and collaborate in certain situations. The cool thing is in communicating your needs and ideas, you are honoring yourself, whether you move in the direction you want or have to make a shift and move in a different direction.
Making the choice to consciously pause and ask in that moment – What do I need right now? – will support you in making a more conscious choice to honor what you need. Once you realize what stops you from honoring you, you can assess the strategy that will support you in being more present about taking a pause. In that pause, determine what question you need to be asking yourself in that moment. This starts a new pattern in your brain of leaning into more of who you authentically are, and, as a result, your behavior aligns allowing you to put your best self forward.
The more you practice, the more the habit becomes who you are, and the more you learn to be authentic and confident with who you are. This begins the new pathway of integrated leadership.
